I was always interested in reading and learning things. Although we had a difficult life, I graduated as one of the top in my class, because I always felt a closeness to God and always prayed for His help. I remember even before I started to school going off by myself talking to God. I had heard my mother pray. After graduating from high school I left the country, moved to Memphis, met my husband and got married. I am almost finished with my studies at the University of Memphis. My husband and I have three wonderful children (two sons and one daughter), out of a seventeen years of marriage. My daughter teaches for 'Teachers of America' in Texas. My oldest son is establishing his own business, and my youngest son is a meat cutter and a musician. In my early twenties I gave my life totally to the Lord and the adventures started. There is no way that I can tell you all the things that I've experienced, but this has been one wondrous life with God. There have been tremendous trials, great triumphs, awesome manifestations, and a whole lot of love exchanged between us. I love God with all of my heart, and even though I have not always understood all of His ways He has proven over and over again that He loves me and that all things really do work together for my good. I was in a Baptist church when I received the baptism in the Holy Spirit. My Spiritual mother had received Him and she taught me. I was encouraged by some to interpret if I was going to speak in tongues. At the time we didn't have the right understanding on all this, but I saw that in the word and not understanding everything I began to pray to God that I may interpret. He answered speedily (see, stumbling block..stepping stone), and right after I received the baptism I began to interpret tongues and prophesy. God also gave me the 'word of knowledge' and started showing me things about people and having me pray for them. I drew back a lot, not having much encouragement in all this and being afraid also; but when a man died after the Lord told me that he had cancer and I was to go pray for him and I didn't, I figured out that God was not playing around-peoples lives were involved. It started from there: me fasting and praying, studying the word and staying in God's face (many times all night long), with Him revealing things to me and giving me things to do that many times, scared me to no ends. I knew it was God however, and He never failed to work with me and confirm His word with signs following. In outstanding ways, He kept working with me. He kept leading and teaching me and I ended up (so far), helping to prepare His people as the 'Bride of Christ' and helping to train and equip them to come forth in their ministries, gifts, callings and anointings. He has more recently given me a mandate: "MAKE UP MY JEWELS." He gives me to expound unto His people the importance of building upon the right foundation: salvation through the Blood of Jesus Christ, sanctification and holy living, being filled and baptized with the Holy Spirit, learning to be led by Him, basing everything on the written word of God, establishing and maintaining that intimate relationship with Him, whereby we can draw from Him that insight, that wisdom, power and anointing needed for us to function properly in our lives, in His work and in this world. When I minister I like to give out everything that the Holy Spirit gives me and to try to make sure that people understand what He is trying to get over to them. I have been called 'Singing Prophet Teacher' many times because although I don't call myself such a singer, the Holy Spirit will give songs (if they have the rhema message), and I just obey. All in all, I just love to see people helped, healed, encouraged, lifted up, hopeful, directed, and feeling much better than they did before. I have studied from Rhema Bible School and Christian International with Prophet Hamon, (we used His book: Prophets and Personal Prophecy as a text for our Prophet's school). We closed the school for a while and just recently opened it again because of demand. I love all the great ministries of God that He has brought forth in this last day to build and grow the body of Christ up into all the FULLNESS of God. Prophet Kim Clement has been (and continues to be), such a blessing to me because when I hear him he always talks about things that the Lord has given me when I had heard no one else talking about them. Others can attest to this. When I first heard him I was saying: "who is this man?" I identify with him so much also because of his radical way of doing things. I know that we shouldn't ever try to put God in a 'box'. He knows what He wants to do-and when He wants to do it-and how He wants to do it, and we are to get out of the way and let Him have 'free course'. Many ministers confirms the messages that the Lord gives me many times. Someone may call before I get home or later in that day or the next and say turn on the tv or radio..they're saying exactly what you just said at church. Just God's way of letting me know that I'm on the right track I'm always wanting to be 'on the right track'. Many others are such help-there's no way to name them all. God is doing a great mighty thing in His Kingdom in our day and time. I pastor a church, in Memphis, Tn., and although it's not what we normally think of as a large church now, it's a church full of prophets or potentials as you can imagine. Come if you can.
